Introduction to the Quantum Ten Framework
The Quantum in Q10 refers to an integration of frameworks, practices, and theories designed to create a system that positively and greatly impacts and addresses the diverse needs of all students.
There are three integral parts that make up the Quantum Ten (Q10):
The Quantum Ten Elements
- Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)
- Trauma-Informed Practices
- Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
- Response to Intervention (RTI)
- Positive Behaviors Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
- Restorative Practices (RP)
- Culturally Responsive Practices (CRP)
- Inclusive Practices
- Growth Mindset
- Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs
The Core
The Core Four is the center of the Q10 and is the foundation for building the capacity of educators to be well equipped to work with students in need of highly qualified teachers with mastery of instructional practices incorporating all elements. The Core of the Q10 are:

- Parent and Community Engagement
- Adaptive Leadership
- Student-Centered Culture
The Core Four includes Access, Engagement, Success, and Opportunity for Parent & Community Engagement, Adaptive Leadership, High-Quality Instruction, and Student-Centered Culture.
